Rearden Commerce Expands Web-Services Platform With Acquisition Of Global Ground Automation (GGA)

GGA Positioned to Become the World's Ground Transportation Marketplace

Foster City, CA and Hackensack, NJ - September 22, 2008

Rearden Commerce, Inc., creator of the first Web-based personal assistant and a leading choice among companies for managing spend, today announced that it has acquired Global Ground Automation, Inc. (GGA), formerly known as Ground Travel Technology Team (GT3). GGA developed a technology that automates the reservation process for the ground transportation industry, which today manages millions of ground transportation reservations annually. This acquisition expands the breadth of services Rearden Commerce offers within its ecosystem, and closely follows the company's recent purchase of ExpenseWire, a leading provider of expense management solutions.

Together, Rearden Commerce and GGA are positioned to become the de facto reservation system for the ground transportation industry. Much like the automation of airline bookings transformed the airline industry by eliminating the manual reservation process, GGA is radically redefining how ground reservations are purchased and booked. GGA's technology reduces time spent booking a car service by 85 percent, and since its inception in 1999, GGA has signed more than a third of Fortune 500 companies and connected them to more than 33,500 car service providers worldwide.

As a Rearden Commerce company, GGA will continue to collaborate with multiple partners to broaden its distribution network and provide customers with the flexibility to choose the technologies best suited to them. By partnering with multiple corporate booking tools and online travel agencies, corporate travelers have the ability to price-compare ground transportation rates and, with a few clicks, book a car service directly from the online booking tool.

"Rather than relying on outdated analog methods of booking ground transportation, forward-thinking corporations, travel managers and services providers are increasingly turning to GGA for its technology so they can focus on their core competencies and build out their businesses," said Patrick Grady, CEO and founder of Rearden Commerce. "GGA has built a market-driven technology with a huge opportunity to scale and we're thrilled to include it as part of the Rearden Commerce ecosystem."

"As part of the Rearden Commerce network we have access to large distribution channels and can easily improve upon our existing technology platform to accelerate our product innovation curve," said Gregg Tuccillo, president and CEO of GGA. "GGA is committed to operating on an open platform and will remain dedicated to all our partners by maintaining the same business model and vendor-neutral approach."

Rearden Commerce and GGA help countless procurement managers more effectively manage corporate spend on ground transportation. Corporations will continue to benefit from the on-demand reporting tools that GGA provides, while travel managers and ground transportation service providers will be able to increase productivity through routine technology enhancements within the technology platform. The service is fully integrated into the Rearden Personal Assistant™ and customers will have the choice to opt-in to gain more control over ground transportation spending.
